Hallo Nachteulen und einTAGsfliegen,
wir können es immer noch nicht ganz glauben: das AMS 2023 ist vorbei und der Alltag hat uns schon fast wieder in seinem klebrigen Netz.
Bevor wir also vergessen, wie schön es war, lasst uns dieses tolle Camp nochmal kurz Revue passieren…
Wir sind völlig überwältigt davon, wie viele Besucher*innen dieses Jahr in den Stöcklewald kamen. Das hat sogar vieles auf dem Platz einfacher gemacht – die Schichten haben sich wunderbar gefüllt, die Tanzflächen waren voll und es fanden richtig viele gute Gespräche statt!
An manchen Stellen gab es zwar kleinere logistische Herausforderungen wie der Größe des Zeltplatzes oder den Küchenkapazitäten, doch dank gutem Wetter und bester Stimmung wurde das alles reibungslos gelöst.
Und, ist es euch auch aufgefallen? Es hat dieses Jahr kein einziges Mal geregnet! Was natürlich sofort Klimawandelmäßig aufhorchen lässt, für uns aber tatsächlich entlastend war – und das große Gewitter mit Sturzflut hat uns dann beim Abbau auch noch erwischt. Zum Glück waren da alle Zeltchen schon im Trockenen und der Müll vom Platz gesammelt 🙂
Leider waren wir aber dieses Jahr viel zu wenige Personen für den Abbau. Das hat einige von uns an die Grenzen ihrer psychischen und körperlichen Belastbarkeit gebracht. Da es aber ohne einen funktionierenden Abbau kein AMS geben kann, werden wir für nächstes Jahr an einem neuen Konzept arbeiten. Und vielleicht haltet ihr euch die Woche nach dem Camp 2024 schonmal frei?
Wir haben uns dieses Jahr bemüht, das Camp etwas inklusiver zu gestalten. Das ist nicht immer ganz einfach und wir haben einige unserer Grenzen entdeckt – wollen da aber weiterhin dran bleiben und freuen uns diesbezüglich auch über Anregungen und Kritik.
Es ist gar nicht möglich, einzelne Bereiche besonders hervorzuheben, da einfach alle Bühnen, Stände, Küchen, Bars und Workshops Highlights waren! Vielleicht nehmt ihr euch einfach selbst kurz einen Moment, um an euer schönstes AMS-Erlebnis zurück zu denken… Merkt euch das Gefühl, das diese Erinnerung in euch auslöst: es kann an kalten, traurigen oder stressigen Tagen den Alltag versüßen ✨
Und das Beste ist: es wird natürlich auch nächstes Jahr wieder ein AMS geben, mit der Chance, den verpassten Workshop von diesem Jahr zu besuchen oder sich mal eine ganz neue Musikrichtung reinzuziehen oder endlich mal an das TShirt für den Siebdruck zu denken oder an das Gute Gespräch an der Bar anzuknüpfen oder oder oder
Wir freuen uns jedenfalls schon jetzt darauf, euch nächstes Jahr wieder zu sehen und mit euch gemeinsam diesen einmaligen Ort aufzubauen. Merkt euch das Datum schonmal vor:
15.-18. August 2024. Und wer Lust hat, hinter den Kulissen mitzumachen: scheu dich nicht, uns anzuschreiben! Im Januar/Februar wird es in Freiburg ein offenes Plenum für alle Interessierten geben, dazu laden wir euch schon jetzt herzlich ein.
Bis dahin habt eine gute Zeit und genießt die letzten Sonnenstrahlen dieses Sommers.

Hello NIGHTingales and Dayflies,
we still can’t quite believe it: AMS 2023 is over and everyday life has us back in its sticky web.
So before we forget how great it was, let’s review this camp for a moment….
We are completely overwhelmed by how many visitors came to the Stöcklewald this year.
It definitely made a lot of things smoother – shifts filled up easily, the dance floors were full and a lot of good conversations took place!
It also meant a few logistical challenges like the tent site or the kitchen capacities, but thanks to good weather and the good mood, everything was solved!
Btw, did you notice? It didn’t rain once this year! Which is of course a major issue climate-change-wise, but it was actually a relief for us. The big thunderstorm didn’t hit us until the a few days after the camp was over. Fortunately, by then all tents had dried up and all garbage from the place had been collected 🙂
However, we were far too few people for tidying up after the camp. This brought some of us to the limits of their mental and physical resilience. This has to change! Without a functioning final phase of the camp, the AMS is not possible. We will work on a new concept for next year. How about you keep the week after the AMS camp 2024 free?
We made an effort this year to make the camp a little more inclusive. This is not always easy and we discovered some of our limitations – but we want to continue and are happy to receive suggestions and feedback in this regard.
It is not adequate to emphasize single areas of the camp, because all stages, booths, kitchens, bars and workshops were highlights! Maybe you just take a moment to think about your own most beautiful AMS experience… Remember the feeling of this memory: it can sweeten your everyday life on cold, sad or stressful days ✨
And the best part is: there will of course be another AMS next year, with the chance to make up for the
workshop you missed this year, or to try out a completely new style of music, or to finally remember to bring a T-Shirt to be printed or to tie in with the good conversation at the bar or or or …
We are definitely looking forward to seeing you next year and to build up this unique place together.
Save the date: August 15-18, 2024.
And if you want to get involved behind the scenes: don’t hesitate to write to us! In January/February there will be an open plenum in Freiburg for all interested people and you are happy to join!
